We have a menu of ideas for a summary of the year.
We encourage our members to share the Gospel at least once a month, or alternatively as a larger project at some point in the year. We give you some examples below.
Prayer request cards
The idea is to hand deliver prayer request cards, ideally with at least one or two others telling them either through a letter or face to face that you are praying for them and that with the church ( your local church) will pray for any prayer requests sent in.

Here's a letter you can use with a prayer request card that you can download below.
Dear Neighbour
Please find in this envelope a Prayer Request card, that you can fill in with your prayer requests and send to our church at (add the church address)
Your prayers will be prayed for in strict confidence unless there is a safeguarding issue that we feel means that we have to get you some help, such as domestic abuse etc.
If you wish someone to make contact with you, please leave your address and telephone number and we will arrange to meet you in a local café or at the church.
Signed – your name from (church name)
The Father's Love Letter
Since 2012, Neighbourhood Prayer Network (now Houses of Light) has printed and distributed via our members, at least 150,000 Father’s Love Letters. Our members have also sometimes downloaded the artwork and printed it locally.
The Father’s Love Letter is a collection of scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, written in the form of a letter from God the Father. It is a highly effective way of sharing the Gospel with none- Christian neighbours and is usually also very well received. They work best when the follow up details of the church are given, with an email address and phone number and often in tandem with an invite to attend church, ideally a special event.
We are moving away from printing resources and instead towards our members printing resources locally.
While they can be distributed all year round - Valentine’s day, Father’s Day and Christmas are times that people have most often chosen to distribute them.
